Tabletop Fountains – Modern, Sophisticated and Elegant
Author: Chris Courtis
One furniture item that people tend to find hard to decorate are tables, these can often be awkward places to enhance when they are not being used. One great way that this problem can be solved is with a table top fountain, to briefly describe these they are indoor water features that come in many different shapes and sizes and can be used to help create a tranquil and peaceful environment whilst decorating an unused surface.
Tabletop fountains have been around for many years and are becoming increasingly more popular, the designs are wide and varied and as such suite many different styles of property. If you live in a modern apartment or a more traditional house you will find a feature that will suite the type of environment you live in. Many of the latest tabletop fountains are made with acrylic panels and have built in internal lighting that provides a modern and bright look and feel to a room. Where as the more traditional styles are made with substances such as bamboo, marble or slate, whatever your décor the designs are adaptable and will fit into any room.
With various sizes of fountains being manufactured even the largest tables can be decorated and generally the sizes will vary from eighteen inches in height to over thirty two inches. If you are worried about the environment or needing to plumb the water fountains in then there is no need with most table top fountains designed to re-circulate the water which enables them to recycle their own water supply whilst the water is pumped around by low voltage electric pumps. The majority of the fountains will gather their power from battery so there is no need to connect them into the main power supply; this is a particularly good design as it helps preserve the aesthetics of the feature and makes for ease of use for the consumer.
There are many different manufacturers that produce the tabletop fountains all of which have their own unique style. Some of the manufacturers tend to stay with the more traditional styles where as others look to the contemporary and modern markets, however the craftsmanship behind the features is excellent and lots of thought goes into crafting the different designs from the raw materials. There is such a good variety of design that it can become hard to decide on which one will best suite a room, so it may be best to just buy two to be on the safe side. It comes highly recommended if you are thinking of decorating a table top with the usual flowers or plant then think again and look into trying something different and getting a tabletop fountain.
